What is Sewer drain cleaning?
Usually, when your main sewer line becomes clogged, the tell-tale signs include water backing up into your sink or bathtub, gurgling sounds coming from your pipes, and the dreaded bubbling water in the toilet!
There are a couple of options available when you find yourself facing a clogged sewer line repair. The first is the gold standard of plumbing, the snake. A sewer snake is introduced into your home’s plumbing system at the closest access point to where the clog is located. As the snake works its way into your pipe, it rotates a large wire head with blades that loosens any debris in its path.
Sometimes clogs are so far down the sewer line that they are out of reach of the plumbing snake. In these cases, hydro-jetting is a newer tool in the plumber’s arsenal that uses highly concentrated jets of water to remove any standing debris, cut through root intrusions in your main sewer line.
