What Is Trenchless Sewer Epoxy Lining?
Sewer epoxy lining is a trenchless rehabilitation method for eligible damaged pipes. Instead of excavating and replacing the entire line, a resin-saturated liner is inserted through an access point and cured against the interior of the existing pipe to form a continuous new surface.
The process begins with a sewer camera inspection to document the pipe’s condition and determine whether lining is appropriate. The line must then be cleaned and prepared so the liner can fit and cure properly.
After preparation, a two-part epoxy resin is applied to a flexible liner. The liner is positioned inside the damaged section, expanded against the pipe walls, and allowed to cure. A follow-up inspection can confirm the completed liner and check that the flow path is clear.
Epoxy lining is one type of trenchless sewer repair, but it is not suitable for every line.
